What it does
The whole HVSC
Turn on the online catalogue and more than 60,000 tunes from the High Voltage SID Collection appear in your library. Each tune downloads the first time you play it, or download the whole collection for offline listening.
Your own files
Import an HVSC folder, loose .sid files or a zip, from the Files app or any app's share sheet. Imported tunes are stored on your device.
Accurate emulation
libsidplayfp with reSIDfp emulates the 6581 and 8580 SID chips, PAL and NTSC, and tunes that use two or three SID chips.
See the music
A scrolling piano roll of every voice, coloured by waveform, plus an oscilloscope and the filter settings. Mute voices one by one to hear how a tune is built.
Five sound modes
From Real (a tiny monitor speaker, the way most people heard it) through Pure, Magic, Epic and Mythic, plus a 3-band equalizer.
Made for iOS
Background playback, the lock screen, Control Center, CarPlay and headphone buttons. Keyboard shortcuts on iPad. Six themes and retro C64 and Apple II fonts.
Your data stays yours
SIDtune has no accounts, no analytics, no tracking and no ads. Your library, favorites, playlists, history and settings stay on your device. The only network traffic is the optional online catalogue.
